Recommended loadout to deal with a Leaper in Arc Raiders

To destroy a Leaper, there are some essential items that you should bring either by purchase, loot, or craft from the workstation. Here is the loadout you need:

4x Blaza Grenade or 10x Light impact Granade
3x Snap Blast Grenade
Ferro
Shield Recharger
Bandage x10
Herbal Bandage x5

The loadout is mainly focused on including the minimum requirements necessary to destroy a Leaper. Starting with grenades, you can either take 4 Blaza Grenades or 10 Light Impact Grenades, and both will do the job. If possible, try to bring the Wolfpacks, which are even more powerful. You can find them while exploring the map or craft them at the workshop.

Besides grenades, don’t forget to add some Herbal Bandages and a Shield Recharger to the inventory. These medical items are crucial for recovering health and shields if you take damage or if the battle doesn’t go as planned.

The Leaper has a weak spot in its arms. Its fast, aggressive leaps come from those huge limbs. Try to hit its arms to immobilize it, which also makes the ARC boss quite vulnerable. Apart from its arms, you can also aim for its eye (the circular red-highlighted spot) to lose some of its HP. This basically makes it weak and deals more damage compared to shooting other parts of its body.

Attack strategy

Before triggering a Leaper, look for an area where you get some cover. It could be anything, like big containers, rocks, buildings, or even a small room, just to stay safe when the ARC attacks you. Once you’ve got the perfect spot, shoot some bullets to get its attention. As it approaches, start throwing grenades to make it weak.

Stay focused at all times, because when it leaps at you, you need to be ready to dodge and hide behind cover; otherwise, you’ll lose a good chunk of HP. Fortunately, when the ARC leaps and lands on the ground, it takes a few seconds to reset itself before it starts attacking again. This short window is crucial. Use this time to spam grenades to gradually reduce its health.

When you’re behind cover, it can’t do much because of its large arms and bulky body. So, if you take any damage, use that time to heal while staying in cover. Repeat the same process:

Throw a grenade while aiming at the ARC
Stay behind cover most of the time
Dodge whenever it leaps or fires at you

Follow this strategy, and you can take it down easily within a few minutes. Grenades work great during the battle, but if you run out, don’t worry. After throwing a few, the Leaper will have already lost a good amount of health.

You can then switch to your heavy ammo weapon, such as the Ferro, and land a few well-aimed shots at its arms and eye. Keep following the same method to destroy the ARC within a few minutes.
