Here are some tips and tricks that will be helpful when facing the Great Red Bear in Nightreign:

Block and dodge slashes

The Great Red Bear can slash you by using the claws on its front and hind legs. However, since its movement is quite slow, you can predict the path of its attack and evade it easily.

It is recommended to bring shields here to tank the Bear's damage so you can maintain its aggro for range characters to stack damage.

Move away when the bear stands up

Anytime the Great Red Bear stands up on its hind legs, there are only two possibilities of what it would lead to. Either the beast will stomp its front legs to create a shockwave that deals damage in a wide AoE or let out a roar that knocks you down.

Regardless of what it does, it's crucial for you to move away from the enemy when it stands up.

Look out for ground fissures

One of the most powerful attacks of the Great Red Bear allows it to create ground fissures that deal damage in multiple directions. In preparation for it, the foe slams its legs into the ground. Therefore, build some distance anytime you see the bear push its claws to dig. This will ensure you avoid damage from fissures.
