Required build

You will need to chip down the boss's HP extremely quickly. For this, the recommended gear is to use the Strategic Sword's Bleed and poison-based build in Where Winds Meet. Other equipment also works if you have put in enough time to upgrade it.

Phase 1

Phase 1 of the battle will require you to be extremely agile on your toes and keep a distance from the God of Avarice. Here are a few key attacks that you should watch out for:

• Parry the projectiles to reduce the Qi bar. It is ideal to remain at a distance and only engage once you stun the boss by depleting his Qi.
• The boss will perform three slow strikes that you can parry. Try to combo your weapon skills in between these attacks to deal damage.
• Run away when the boss floats in the middle of the arena, and move around else he will stun you.

Phase 2

In Phase 2, the boss will do increased damage and can stun-lock you due to his gimmick.

• For the first half of the fight, the boss will attack you with dual blades. Parry the normal attacks and dodge the golden ones.
• The boss will summon layers of gold all around the arena that you can pick up. But do not be greedy and try to get all of them, and keep an eye out for the status ailment bar that will appear.
• The boss will gain a special bar on top of his HP. Attack and parry to deplete it.

Phase 3

• Shoot the red glowing orb on the boss when he brings it up. For most of the fight, dodge the zombies that the God of Avarice in Where Winds Meet will summon.
• Dodge the projectiles and do not try to parry them.
• Keep an eye out for the laser attacks. These can instantly kill you

Once you deplete the HP bar by shooting the red orb 4 times, the boss fight will be over, and after completing the main story quest, the campaign challenge for the God of Avarice in Where Winds Meet will unlock.
