Where Winds Meet change time
Not only can you change time to fast forward it in Where Winds Meet, but it's very useful in a few situations (Image via NetEase)

Where Winds Meet features a solid day-night cycle as well as different seasons, so occasionally, you’re going to want to change time by fast forwarding it. While you naturally can’t rewind time, you can push it forward to make nighttime come around just a little sooner. After all, time is a very precious commodity, and we don’t always have an hour or so to wait for the game to transition to darkness or vice versa.

While some quests in Where Winds Meet require a different time of day, not all of them will automatically put you there. Sure, that could leave you time to go fishing, or complete a different side quest in the meantime, what if you’re pressed for time?

This will bring up the full 24-hour clock so you know exactly what time you need to set it to. You can even fast forward a few days into the future if you really need to wait some time. That said, there are limits to how far you can move the time in NetEase's Wuxia adventure in one go. You can only go to the day after tomorrow, and then you will have to change the time to do it again.

Why it’s useful to change time in Where Winds Meet

There are a few potential reasons you might want to change time. You might be looking to commit crimes, but not when the sun’s up. After all this game does let you be a criminal if you want to be.

You might also want to fish at specific times of the day, just in case certain fish only spawn at night. That said, the most important example I’ve come across so far is during the Kaifeng side quest Twelve Years of Grudges. This quest requires you to wait until night time and that can take a long time. So instead of waiting, you just fast forward the time and return to the village.

There are likely other uses for fast forwarding time as well, but these are the ones that most immediately come to my mind.
