Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream summary: Release date, banners, redeem codes, and everything new

The Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream was broadcast on December 5, 2025, showcasing the content that the Trailblazers can expect in the upcoming patch. Set to release on December 17, 2025, and will introduce a new character, The Dahlia, to Star Rail. There is also a new story chapter that will take the Trailblazers back to the planet of dreams, Penacony.

New character

While she was revealed way back during the beginning of the Penacony saga of the game, The Dahlia, or Constance, did not play any part in the main or the side story of the game. But she will finally become playable in the upcoming Honkai Star Rail 3.8 update. She is a 5-star Nihility Support who can amplify the Break teams that consist of characters like Firefly, Lingsha, or Fugue.

The following new Lightcone will be added to the game in the upcoming 3.8 update:

Phase 1

• 5-stars: The Dahlia, Firefly
• 4-stars: Gallagher, Luka, March 7th

Phase 2

• 5-stars: Fugue, Lingsha
• 4-stars: Sampo, Natasha, Arlan

Phase 3

• 5-stars: Aglaea, Sunday
• 4-stars: Tingyun, Dan Heng, Yukong

Phases 1 and 2 will last for three weeks each, while the third half will only last for 14 days.

Story, new area, and boss

The Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream showcased a new boss that will become available during the update. The Harbinger of Death Swarm Nightmare is a fallen Glamoth Knight, whose armor resembles that of a SAM unit merged with the Swarm insects. It has some interesting mechanics that you will need to be aware of while fighting the boss.

Memories are the Prelude to Dreams is the new story chapter that will take you back to the Planet of Dreams, Penacony. A new area, The Dream of Nine Oak, will also become available for exploration.

Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream codes and other additional rewards

The following codes were announced during the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream:

• PS3QWS3ACGDK: 100x Stellar Jades, 50,000 Credits
• RSJ9EB2TDGC7: 100x Stellar Jades, 5x Traveler's Guide
• MTKQEAJAUZWB: 100x Stellar Jades, 4x Refined Aether

You will also be able to claim 10x Special Star Rail Pass from the Gift of Odyssey event. This will be available throughout the patch, but you will need to log in for a total of 7 days.

Extended version information

• Planar Fissure, Realm of the Strange, and Garden of Plenty will be available during the update
• Endgame content will be adjusted. In addition to the regular phases of Apocalyptic Shadow, Pure Fiction, and Memory of Chaos, a new phase of Apocalyptic Shadow will be updated near the end of the version, totaling 4 phases of gameplay content.
• A Treasure Hunt event will be available, where you can gain Tokens and spend them to earn rewards like Stellar Jades.

Version 3.8 is set to be released on December 17, 2025, and will last for 8 weeks till Honkai Star Rail patch 4.0 launches.
