Genshin Impact Luna III Phase I events schedule

HoYoverse has officially announced the release schedule for all events during the first half of the Genshin Impact Luna III version. Phase 1 of the new update will feature various special events, new Archon and Story Quests, a unique gameplay system, a new enemy lineup for the Stygian Onslaught game mode, and new character and weapon banners.

Witch's Homework

Witch's Homework is a new gameplay system in Genshin Impact that will be available permanently in the game after the release of the Luna III version. After completing certain quests in this mode, you can select a 4-star character among Fischl, Sucrose, and Razor.

This new gameplay system is intended to buff some Mondstadt characters such as Venti, Klee, Albedo, Mona, Razor, Fischl, and Sucrose. To unlock buffs for these Hexerei characters, you must complete a set of special quests in this event.

Limited-Time Archon Quest rewards

Similar to the time-limited rewards from the previous updates, you can obtain 500 Primogems in Luna III after completing the Archon Quest Song of the Welkin Moon: Acts V and VI. This event will be available from the beginning of the Genshin Impact Luna III update till January 13, 2026.

Limited-Time Story Quest rewards

The developers have stated that Durin will receive a new Story Quest in the Luna III version. To obtain his character ascension materials and other rewards, you must complete his Story Quest before January 13, 2026. You can also get additional Primogems after completing this quest before January 13.

Furthermore, the developers have also announced that Durin's Story Quest will take five natural days to complete. Thus, it is advised to start this quest early, so that you can obtain all the additional rewards before this event expires.

Bing-Bang Finchball

The Finchball event from version 4.8 is getting a rerun in the Luna III version with new stages and gameplay features. It is a co-op event, and players must challenge others across multiple stages to obtain all the rewards. This event will be available from December 5, 2025, and will stay in-game till December 15, 2025.

Stygian Onslaught

Stygian Onslaught is a permanent game mode in Genshin Impact that resets every patch with new enemies. In the Luna III version, players will have to challenge the Iniquitous Baptist, Battle-Hardened Iktomisaurus, and Experimental Field Generator bosses.

After completing all stages in this event, players can obtain Primogems, Mora, Hero's Wit, and Dust of Enlightenment items. This event will be available from December 10, 2025, to January 13, 2026.

Soulblazers' Snowbound Journey

Soulblazers' Snowbound Journey is a new Flagship event that will be released during the Luna III version. Players can get a new 4-star bow, Primogems, and Crown of Insight, among other rewards, after completing all mini-games in the event. This event will start on December 19, 2025, and will be available till January 5, 2026.
