The update maintenance for Genshin Impact Luna III will begin on December 3, 2025, at 6 am (UTC+8) and is estimated to last five hours. This means the new version will be released globally on December 3, 2025, at 11 am (UTC+8).

Here are the start and end timings of the version Luna III maintenance across different time zones:

America (December 2, 2025)

• Pacific Standard Time (PST): 2 pm - 7 pm
• Mountain Standard Time (MST): 3 pm - 8 pm
• Central Standard Time (CST): 4 pm - 9 am

Version Luna III pre-installation feature is now available

Developer HoYoverse has also released the pre-installation resource packages for version Luna III. The estimated preload sizes are as follows:

• PC: 16 GB - 18 GB (Space required 19 GB)
• Mobile: 2 GB

The exact download size may vary depending on which voice-over packs Travelers have installed.

Those on PC can pre-install the files by clicking on "Pre-Install" next to the Start Game button on the HoYoPlay Launcher. Meanwhile, those on Mobile Devices can begin pre-installing the update files by tapping the "Pre-Install Resource Package" icon in the bottom-left corner of the login screen.

Using the pre-installation feature will speed up the update process once the new version is live, so it is highly recommended.
