Investment: Cyrene and Tribbie are great support characters, but the former requires you to invest in her Eidolons to make her consistent. Tribbie lacks these restrictions and can even perform at S0. She can also be built purely on HP, while you will need to build Cyrene with some speed and Crit stats.
- Versatility: Cyrene is not at all versatile when it comes to team options. She requires you to pair her up with Chrysos Heirs with memosprites (Castorice, Trailblazer, Hyacine), as they are the only ones who can help her quickly build up her ultimate stacks. While the buffs she gives are substantial, this makes her hard to use in most team setups. But Tribbie does not have any mechanics like that, and she can be a great fit for almost every team in Honkai Star Rail, making her a universal support.
- Buffs: Cyrene can provide a lot of buffs to the team, including attack and crit rate boosts. Besides that, she can also provide unique buffs to each of the Chrysos Heirs, making her exclusive to those characters. Tribbie, meanwhile, provides RES PEN and vulnerability boosts. Both of them can also deal damage.
Tribbie is easily the better pick compared to Cyrene, given how flexible she is. She can easily slot into most teams in the game, while the Daughter of Aedes Elysiae struggles in anything except Chrysos Heir exclusive squads, specifically those that can use Memosprites. You will also need to invest in Cyrene's Eidolons to make her work consistently due to how her ultimate functions.
Tribbie, meanwhile, provides more value, giving universal RES PEN (Resistance Penetration) and also debuffing enemies with her ultimate. Her buffs are also more consistent, and she does not rely on Chrysos Heir characters to get back her ultimate charge.
Cyrene is not a bad character per se, but you do need quite a lot of investment, and given that Tribbie is also rerunning as part of the Honkai Star Rail 3.7 update's phase 1 banners, you should try to get the latter if you do not have her.
