Assassin's Creed Shadows x Attack on Titan walkthrough: How to complete Beyond the Walls quest

After the release of Title Update 1.1.6, Assassin's Creed Shadows has a new quest line in a collaboration with the Attack on Titan universe. The first mission, Beyond the Walls, introduces a new character named Ada, who asks Naoe and Yasuke for help to stop an upcoming Titan terror. It should be noted that this Attack on Titan-inspired quest line is playable until December 22, 2025.

How to access the Assassin's Creed Shadows x Attack on Titan quest

To start the Beyond the Walls quest of AC Shadows x Attack on Titan, you must reach the north of Hanazono Castle in the Yamashiro region. You can see the quest icon on the map. Make sure you're playing as Yasuke to progress.

There, interact with the dead warrior dressed in Attack on Titan universe clothing to find a letter. With this, the Beyond the Walls quest of AC Shadows x Attack on Titan will begin.

While the quest is available immediately after downloading the November 25, 2025, patch update, it will not initially appear on the in-game objective board. So, not knowing the starting location can be a hassle.

Investigate the castle ruins

After finding the dead bodies and the letter, travel south towards the Hanazono Castle. When you're near, you'll hear some enemies talking about a captive they've taken.

Afterwards, you can brawl through the front door of the castle and kill the enemies ahead. Since you're playing as Yasuke, dealing with them head-on should be easier.

Next, follow the blue objective marker inside the castle area to find the captive, Ada. Press and hold the "Help" prompt button to rescue her.

Then, Ada will learn about her dead comrades and subsequently, reveal a plan to rescue Gautwin. Then, you can select any of the given prompts to continue. Lastly, select "I'm ready to follow Ada."

With this, the Beyond the Walls quest in AC Shadows x Attack on Titan comes to an end. This also marks the beginning of the next mission of the story, Descent.
