How to complete the Tracks in the Desert quest in Assassin's Creed Mirage
Find the robbers

For this quest, you must journey to the Ramm Valley, north of AlUla, to find the robbers. Head towards the marker on a mount and follow the plume of smoke in the distance to eventually come across a convoy of bandits at the location who are harassing a trade couple.
Try to engage with the robbers in combat, and they will flee the scene. Revive the downed trader and talk to the traveler to learn about what happened here. Turns out, the traders were ambushed by robbers who popped out of the nearby canyon. With a new objective in sight, Basim must now explore this canyon.
Follow the tracks

Head in the direction that the robbers fled and examine the tracks on the ground. Use Eagle Vision and continue forward following the footprints. Not long after, you will encounter robbers who will ambush you with a trap. It is time to engage with them in combat.
Defeat them and proceed forward while following the tracks. You will eventually come across the robber's camp, labeled Robbers' Water Supply, where they have all holed up after stealing from the traders. Use Basim's bird companion, Enkidu, to scan the surroundings and mark all foes and any points of interest - including a map inside a tent.
Investigate the camp

Take down the foe on the ledge ahead, and try to eliminate as many foes as possible one by one. While doing this, you should also come across a robber with a Stolen Goods clue on him (signified by a gold parchment icon) as well as a Map (with an orange-colored letter icon) in a tent, so be sure to take him out and grab the clue, and examine the map.
Another robber on the eastern side of the camp has the Robber's Note on him (marked by a magnifying glass icon). Once all clues have been obtained, it is time to leave the camp. Scale the canyon walls to make your way out and get to the next camp as the newly updated objective suggests.
Reach the next camp

When approaching this camp, you will be ambushed again by the robbers. Deal with them and continue the journey forward and up the cliff. Climb to the top by scaling the cliff wall to be able to scout with Enkidu without intrusions. Here, you can find another robber with a Stolen Goods clue.
There are an additional couple of them you can eavesdrop on to learn more about the camp. Reach the main camp area to come across makeshift cells where prisoners have been captured. The objective will update, and Basim must find a way to engage with the prisoner.
Find the cell key and free the prisoner

Hide in a safe spot and use Enkidu to find the guard with the key, he will be marked by an orange key icon after scanning him. He will be surrounded by other robbers, so it's best to take to a vantage point above his level and take out the enemies around him.
After killing the robber and grabbing the key off him, carefully make your way back to the prisoner. Interact with the cell to initiate a cutscene where Basim learns new info from the Renegade Robber. Unlock the door to free him and grab the whistle located on the table opposite his cell.
The prisoner's escape will cause a distraction, allowing you to make an easy escape. Exit the camp to complete the Tracks in the Desert mission in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory. The next quest in order is the final quest of this DLC, labelled In the Vulture's Nest.
