Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory walkthrough: How to access the free story expansion

With the launch of Assassin's Creed Mirage Title Update 1.1.0, you can now delve into a new story expansion, Valley of Memory. While this update is completely free to download for those who have the base game, knowing how to access it can be a hassle.

Here are the details on how to start the Valley of Memory story expansion in Assassin's Creed Mirage.

How to start Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory

First and foremost, if the Assassin's Creed Mirage Title Update 1.1.0 has not already been downloaded automatically, do so manually. Afterward, launch the game, and you will be notified about the Valley of Memory story expansion.

From there, there are two ways to access the Valley of Memory story expansion in Assassin's Creed Mirage, and here are the details:

Option 1: Start after The Head of the Snake quest

The Valley of Memory can only be accessed if you have progressed to the "The Head of the Snake" quest in the story. However, you cannot play the expansion if you have already finished the game. Essentially, it lies between the start of the investigation to find the head of the Order and the endgame.

If the progression requirements are fulfilled, visit Dervis' Shop in the Dyeing Factory area in the Harbiyah district. Next, enter the shop, and a cutscene will begin immediately. At the end of the conversation, select Go to AlUla to start your journey in the Valley of Memory.

Option 2: Start a new game

If you have finished the game already or if you're in the early part of the main story, you cannot start the expansion. If you're facing one of these scenarios, start a New Game from the title's main menu and choose "Skip to Valley of Memory."

After this, you will get a quick recap of the earlier part of the base game's story and advance to the point where you can access the newly added expansion. You will also recieve some upgrade materials, dirhams, and Khidmah Tokens, and the skill points will be auto-assigned (which you can respec).

After choosing your preferred difficulty setting and starting the new game, you will be transported in front of Dervis' Shop. Enter the location and talk to Dervis to access the Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory story expansion.
