Apex Legends Merry Mayhem Event is slated to start from December 16, 2025, and conclude on January 6, 2026. Similar to previous trends, after the Wildcard game mode was added, this upcoming event is going to introduce a fresh makeover to the casual paylist with the arrival of Winter Olympus. Moreover, fans will also be able to enjoy a new set of Wild Cards set to arrive with the event.

Apex Legends Merry Mayhem Event details explored

The winter makeover event for the Apex Legends update paints the game with themed maps and introduces unique skins. Here is everything that we know so far about the Apex Legends Merry Mayhem Event:

Winter Olympus (Wildcard)

The entire Olympus map will be receiving a holiday makeover to match the Merry Mayhem Event theme. The map will contain snow throughout the entire landscape and is seemingly designed to replicate a miniature arena inside snowglobes. The map has already received some hefty changes in a previous update, and it will now also be available for the Wildcard game mode with a fresh look.

The developers have also reworked the design of the EVO Orbs that drop as loot to match the winter festive theme. Moreover, the map would feature high-speed ziprails throughout the arena to enable quick rotations and promote more gunfights.

Guarded Airdrops (Wildcard)

The Apex Legends Merry Mayhem Event will bring in even more challenges in Wildcard as Care Packages will drop with a full team of Spectres guarding the items. This means that you would need to shoot down these guards to be able to claim the weapons and loot from these Guarded Airdrops. That said, the drops have a chance of bringing the following weapons:

Kraber
Power Sword (Melee)
Vermilion R-301 (High Crit chance)
Hornet R-301 (Higher mobility and reload speed)
Grand Slam Bat (Melee)
Road Rage Flatline

Each of these items comes with its special abilities that can provide your squad with an upper hand. Securing such loot can help you win the matches with ease and hunt down enemies on the map.

Wild Cards

Here are the three new Wild Cards arriving with the Apex Legends Merry Mayhem Event:

Flash Freeze: Abilities are silenced for enemies whenever their shield breaks
Do-Over: A free self-revive is obtained whenever teammates get a knockdown
Super Cells: A single Shield Cell can recharge the whole shield

Apart from these new Wild Cards, here are the returning ones that will be available in the replicator:

Personal Space: Melee knockback distance is increased
Hard Hitter: Melee damage dealt to enemies is increased
Wall Runner: Gain the ability to Wall Run
Extra Ordnance: Player can carry +1 ordnance
Down Bad: Enemies explode when knocked
Drain Gain: Regenerate health by dealing damage to enemies
Chain Reaction: Damage is chained to nearby enemies in a limited area
