Given that the CN server is one year ahead of the global one, you can already learn about the upcoming regions in Where Winds Meet. The game came out on November 14, 2025, with two major regions, Qinghe and Kaifeng, and from the Chinese server, we already know that more area expansions are to follow very soon, adding new environments and content.

Here are the upcoming regions in Where Winds Meet that the Global players can expect to become playable within one year.

Hexi (Expected release time: April 2026/ May 2026)

Hexi is an upcoming map expansion that will take you to a mythical desert-like region. Similar to Kaifeng and Qinghe, this area will be divided into separate maps in Where Winds Meet. The region of Hexi comes with its own set of challenges, including new story chapters, Martial Arts, Mystic Arts, challenges, bosses, and more.

Hexi is divided into two separate areas: Yumen Pass and Liangzhou. The former will arrive first, with the latter following shortly, allowing you to explore the mythical desert and fight new enemies. Liangzhou differs completely from Yumen Pass, as it is a mountainous region covered with snow. But the two maps are adjoined to one another.

Nameless Mountains (Expected release time: August 2026/ September 2026)

The Nameless Mountains is the second biggest expansion of the game, which will be added with the 2.0 update. Similar to Hexi, this area comes with its own main story chapters, exploration challenges, and boss fights, among other things. There are also new weapons in Where Winds Meet for you to collect, alongside more mystic arts.

Similar to Hexi, the Nameless Mountains will be expanded into various major parts with each update, unlocking new regions for you to explore and new enemies to fight.

As of the time of writing this article, the aforementioned areas are available in the CN server of the game. Following that server, the Global version will receive the upcoming regions in Where Winds Meet within November of 2026, but it is uncertain if the developers will follow the CN set of updates.
