Kung Fu Hustle is over two decades old, but it is still one of the most popular martial arts movies, and players can find several references to it in Where Winds Meet. Interestingly, all of these references are either tied to strong combat skills or is a skin for a mount, and are used as they should be.

You can find an old NPC named Liang Xiaolong on all fours imitating a toad near the southwest exit of General's Shrine. This is a reference to The Beast in Kung Fu Hustle. Interestingly, the NPC's design also resembles the character from the movie.

Lion's Roar is a Mystic Skill in WWM, and is a reference to the roaring technique of the same name used by the landlady in the movie. Players can learn this skill by ringing four bells in Qinghe.

The Guardian Palm in WWM is another reference to a powerful technique called the Buddha Palm in Kung Fu Hustle. The second form of Guardian Palm summons a large golden Buddha and a white bird on which the players can step to leap higher. These are clear references to Stephen Chow's character stepping on the eagle and the cloud Buddha when he uses this technique.

Sing and Landlady's speed running

Where Winds Meet offers several cosmetics for mounts. This includes a running animation very similar to Sing (Stephen Chow's character) and the landlady's speed running style during the chase scene. Unfortunately, this cosmetic is unavailable in the global server as of this writing.
