The Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory DLC added 17 new historical sites to the game. Spread across the map in various locations, players can explore these sites to gain additional insight about the game and its rich story. Areas like Southern Wilds and Hegra have some of the most historical sites. Besides that, Alula and Northern Wilds also have a few locations to explore.
This article will go over all the historical sites and their locations in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory.
Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory: All 17 historical sites and their locations
1) Southern Wilds - Life of a Nomad

The first site in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory can be found in Southern Wilds. This one is located close to the Traveler's Camp, right above the 'L' in the Southern Wilds name on the map. Once you close in on the location, climb up the rock formation and collect the orb to update the Life of a Nomad codex page.

2) Southern Wilds - The Path to Eternity
Located right above the Alula Oasis, this historical site is close to the Lion's Tomb. Once you arrive at the location indicated on the map, pass by the collapsed yellow tent and climb the carved rockface. Climb upwards from the shop with the orange cover and move towards your left, facing the carved windows. Here, you will find The Path to Eternity codex update.

3) Southern Wilds - Ruinous Sanctuary
After exploring the second site, if you move west in the same zone above the Alula Oasis, you will soon get to the third historical site in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory.
This one is located in the Ruinous Sanctuary and unlocks the codex update of the same name. You can find it close to the tall statue, which should be visible from a great distance.
4) Alula - Overlook Fortress
The next historical site in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory is located in Alula. You must get close to the Musa ibn Nusayr Fort and then climb it from the Eastern end. At the summit of the fort, on top of the lifting crane, you will find the Overlook Fortress codex page.
Be careful as you scale the walls of the fort, as it is a restricted area and soldiers are always patrolling it, especially on the top.
5) Alula historical - The Thriving Town
A little farther from the Musa ibn Nusayr Fort, you can get to the next codex. The second historical site in the region is located close to the Alula market on a rooftop. Look at the map, and you will be able to spot it on the left of the performer's corner in Alula Market.
Climb the wall to the rooftop, and you will be able to collect The Thriving Town codex update in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory.
6) Alula Oasis - Incense Road
The next few sites are located in the Alula Oasis region. The first of which can be found right at the border of Alula and Alula Oasis. You can find this spot by drawing a straight line towards Alula from The Blue House.
Climb the building from its exterior, and on top of it, you will find the Incense Road codex update.

7) Alula Oasis - Oasis Life
There are two more historical sites in Alula Oasis in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory. A second site is present nearly parallel to the previous one. On the map, look towards the left of the Incense Road site to discover the Oasis Life codex update near the Farmer's Quarter.
On the map, it appears below the performer's corner and is present in the market inside a shop. This should be easy to spot.
8) Alula Oasis - Oasis Irrigation and Flora
Finally, the third historical site in Alula Oasis exists towards the upper region of the map. This site can be found by creating a straight line from the Blue House towards the other end of Alula Oasis.
In the Farmer's Quarter, upon getting close to the exact location, you'll be able to see the glow of light emitting from the orb. Go through the small farm, and the codex update will be found in a stream of water where two children are playing.
9) Ramm Valley - Solitary and Stoic
Ramm Valley has one historical site on top of the Elephant Rock. This is also a location for a viewpoint where you can go to observe the vast landscape. Get to Elephant Rock and climb upwards.
On top, you will find the historical site on one end and the viewpoint on the other.

10) Northern Wilds - Roman Life in Alula
The next few historical sites in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory are located in the Northern Wilds. The first of three locations is found close to the Roman Fort and can be located opposite it on the map.
This codex update can be found at the doors of the fort, as shown on the map.
11) Northern Winds - Memory of an old civilization
For the next site in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory, go to the Ikmah Mountain, located further East from the Roman Fort region. The codex update can be found in a small area hidden inside the mountain near a tree.
12) Northern Wilds - Life of a Merchant
The third historical site in Northern Wilds may be difficult to find. This is because it is located near a merchant camp, almost in the middle of the map. Use the image of the map attached above as a reference point to reach the location. The orb should be visible from a distance as it is out in the open.
13) Hegra - The Ones That Defied Time
All of the remaining historical sites in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory are present in Hegra. Present in the open desert, this one is located in the Tomb of Hayyan, son of Kuza. Once you arrive at the tomb, simply head inside and collect the orb.
14) Hegra - City of the Dead
The second historical site in Hegra is located near the Al-Bannat Mountain under the letter 'A' in Hegra on the map. The orb for the codex update can be found at the bottom of the mountain. It is fairly easy to spot, and you don't need to climb the mountain to get to it.
15) Hegra - Dadan and Nabatean Civilization
The third historical site in Hegra is located near Al-Khurayamat. This is a small and guarded settlement; therefore, it is also a restricted area. You must sneak past the watch tower, and opposite to it lies the orb on top of a lift mechanism used to move heavy items.
16) Hegra - Rites of Passage
Hegra consists of the most historical sites of any other region in Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memory. The fourth site location is at the mouth of the opening between the two sides of the Ithilib Mountain.
This site can be found under a tree, next to a camel, and in front of a cave.
17) Hegra - Remembrance of the Forgotten
Finally, the 17th and last historical site, also present in Hegra, can be found in a crevice in the Al-Ahmar Mountain. To find it, approach the location and look towards the East. The orb will be visible to you inside the rockface from a distance, as shown in the image.
