All Durin story quest endings in Genshin Impact

HoYoverse has announced that Durin's Story Quest in Genshin Impact will take five natural days to complete. Furthermore, it has special choices (plus a few hidden and special interactions) during parts 4 and 5. Depending on the choices you make, you can experience the bad and good endings.

Even if you select a bad ending, you can always turn back the pages to pick a good one. However, once you choose a good ending, you will not be able to experience or view the other bad ones.

Good and bad endings for Durin's Story Quest in Genshin Impact

The fourth part of Durin's Story Quest, also known as the Revelation Beneath the Stars, unlocks on the fourth day. During its run, you learn that Andersdotter's (also known by the codename M) story doesn't end in Simulanka, and you step inside the book along with Wanderer.

This quest has a few bad, good, and hidden endings that you can select from. However, keep in mind that once you choose a good or hidden ending, you will not be able to view the bad ones. If you select the bad choices first, you can experience them and also turn back the pages (with the help of Alice) to choose a good ending for the story.

While you are inside M's book, you will get an option to turn back the pages and make a different choice whenever you reach a bad ending. However, keep in mind that selecting a bad one will not have any effect on the ending of Durin's Story Quest in Genshin Impact. You can only progress through the quest after selecting the good choices.

During this quest, you will reach a special place in the book where you have to find a way out after listening to the prophecy of the Seer-Witch.

With that being said, let's take a look at all the possible endings for Durin's Story Quest part 4 in Genshin Impact:

Good endings

• Go toward where the wind is coming from: This is one of the good choices for Durin's Story Quest, and you will be able to progress with this quest after selecting this option.
• Go towards the boat (Hidden good ending): During this quest, you will also spot The Durin ship. Mini-Durin and Wanderer used this ship to reach Teyvat from Simulanka. You can find the boat near the path that the wind leads to. After completing all dialogues, you must interact with the ship twice to unlock this ending.

Bad endings

• Returning to the castle: This is a bad ending for Durin's Story Quest, as he will return to his castle in Simulanka and will fall asleep alongside Mini Durin. M also announces that the story ends with the little dragon sleeping inside his castle, just like he had never even hatched.
• Pass through the thorny bushes: After you select this choice, Wanderer believes that Durin's condition might be a result of spending too much time with him in Teyvat. He also states that cutting their ties could probably resolve Durin's problems. However, this option leads to a bad ending, as without Wanderer, Mini Durin would've never made it out of Simulanka.

Part 5 - The Solution of Fate

Part five is the finale of Durin's Story Quest, which will be unlocked on the fifth day. Here, you enter the storybook alongside Albedo, Wanderer, and Durin to resolve Durin's problems. Similar to the previous part, this quest also has a few good, bad, and hidden endings.

Right at the start, after stepping inside M's book, you must decide whether you want to destroy the evil dragon's heart or fuse with it. Here are all the choices you can make during this sequence:

• Fuse with the heart of the evil dragon: If you select this option, the events of M's story will be similar to the events during the Paralogism Archon Quest. Albedo will use the evil dragon's heart to create an artificial body for Durin.
• Interact with the Little Dragon (hidden good ending): During the scene where you have to decide what to do with the evil dragon's heart, you can spot the Little Dragon, also known as Mini Durin, at the top-left corner inside the storybook. If you interact with him, the good ending will trigger automatically.

Bad ending

• Destroy the evil dragon's heart: During this sequence of events, you can only select one bad ending. If you choose to destroy the evil dragon's heart, Albedo will not be able to create an artificial body for Mini Durin.

The fifth part of Durin's story quest also has another sequence where you can select a good or bad ending. Right after fusing with the evil dragon's heart, you will be presented with a few more choices, and the details about them are given in the section below:

• Hold back the darkness (Good ending): This is the only good ending for Durin's Story Quest during this sequence. After holding back the darkness, you can progress through the fifth part of the quest.
• Give in/Run out of time (Bad ending): During this sequence, you will have 59 seconds to make a choice. If you run out of time and you do not select the good ending, Durin will be consumed by the darkness, and his story will end.
• Return to the castle in Simulanka (Bad ending): During this phase, you can also choose to return to Simulanka. However, this option will lead to a bad ending in the story, and the events will be similar to the bad ending that occurred in the fourth part of Durin's Story Quest.
