All classes in Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2 features a total of nineteen classes, each with its own abilities and advantages. You get your hands on two Survivors right away as you start the game. However, for the rest, you must complete some challenges or fulfill certain unlocking criteria.

The game has surprisingly returned to the spotlight with its new expansion, Alloyed Collective. This DLC brings two additional Survivors into the title, along with thirteen new skins and new bosses to fight.

Risk of Rain 2: All classes and their unlock criteria

As of writing, there are 19 survivors, with two added recently as a part of the Alloyed Collective DLC. Each class has its own abilities and advantages to offer on the battlefield. Here's a list of all the classes and their unlocking criteria:

Captain	Complete Washed Away.
Railgunner	Purchase Survivors of the Void DLC.
Void Fiend	Unlock by defeating the boss in the Planetarium or Survive Wave 50 in Simlucrum Mode.
Drifter	Complete Lost in Transit.
Heretic	Collect all four Heresy items to transform any character into a Heretic.
Operator	Purchase the Alloyed Collective DLC.
Seeker	Purchase the Seekers of the Storm DLC
CHEF	Complete the wok’s recipe in Reformed Alter.
False Son	Complete the Purified Freedom challenge from Seekers of the Storm DLC.

Alloyed Collective is the game’s third expansion, released on November 18, 2025. You can purchase it on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, and Xbox for $14.99. The expansion adds two new Survivors: Operator and Drifter, along with thirteen new skins and seven new environments. The Operator is a frontline commander who uses drone abilities to control the battlefield.

This survivor has 90 HP (+27 per level), 12 damage (+2.4 per level), and a movement speed of 7 m/s. You can pick Operator right away after purchasing the Alloyed Collective extension.

The Drifter, however, needs to be unlocked. This is a versatile survivor who uses Junk to power up their abilities. The survivor comes with 170 (+52 per level) HP, damage of 12 (+2.4 per level), and a movement speed of 7 m/s. You can unlock it by completing the Lost in Transit challenge.
