7 interesting features to observe from the recent Hytale gameplay video
1) Hard health replenishment system

In one section of the Hytale gameplay video, the player is fighting against several skeletons and is severely hurt. They then flee to safety and eat an apple to replenish their health. However, the health replenishes extremely slowly, which is vastly different from Minecraft, where health replenishes quickly if the hunger bar is full.
2) Much tougher enemies

When seeing the entire Hytale gameplay video, it is clear that the game will have loads of tough hostile mobs in the wild. The world somewhat feels like Minecraft's modpack named RL Craft, where players stumble upon extremely powerful mobs as well. The creatures are entirely unique, with special magical powers.
On the bright side, since they are difficult to defeat, it will give players a new kind of challenge.
3) Better third-person camera

Hytale gameplay video also shows a polished third-person gameplay as well. Players can choose to play in third-person perspective with a visible crosshair and a camera that is free from the player's movement. It is much better than Minecraft's third-person, which does not show a crosshair and does not have a free camera.
4) Unique combat mechanics

In many parts of the video, Simon is seen fighting various enemies using their sword, daggers, and axe. Each of these weapons is unique since they have vastly different combat mechanics when compared to Minecraft. The daggers have a special charge attack, while swords can be swung in different ways.
Hence, the combat mechanics are also fascinating to observe in this footage.
5) New movement mechanics

In the video, the player is also seen climbing higher blocks and rolling over after landing a jump. These kinds of unique movement mechanics are also quite fascinating to witness. Though Hytale is heavily inspired by Mojang's sandbox, these advanced movements are not in Minecraft.
6) In-game map

Another massive feature showcased in the Hytale gameplay video is an in-game map. By pressing the "M" button, a full map comes up, showing all the chunks that are loaded by a player.
This feature can only be added to Minecraft through a separate mod, but it is built into Hytale.
7) Modern weapons

At the very end of the Hytale gameplay video, Simon took out a rifle in the game and started shooting enemies. This was a hilarious and surprising feature to note since this indicates that the game might also have modern artillery. It is worth mentioning that the rifle had a "developer" tag, which could mean that it might be behind a type of creative mode and might not be available to craft at launch.
