With November ending soon, players are getting ready for the Honkai Star Rail content in December 2025. Like most months, the upcoming one also houses several major announcements, a special program stream, and more. Although the patches are quite dry at times, these keep players hyped.

Five things that Trailblazers should be looking forward to in Honkai Star Rail in December 2025, explored

1) Honkai Star Rail 3.8 special program

As the HSR 3.8 patch is set to release soon, the special program related to the update will air in December 2025. The livestream will likely premiere during the first week of the month. Since the special program is set to disclose various information regarding the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 patch, every iteration excites players.

Although HSR version 3.8 is considered a filler update, Trailblazers are still excited for The Dahlia, as she was teased before Penacony released. That's why players should look forward to the v3.8 special program in the forthcoming month.

2) Honkai Star Rail 3.8’s release/The Dahlia’s debut

Soon after the special program livestream, The Dahlia is scheduled to debut in December 2025. The character will be introduced to players alongside the HSR 3.8 update. Since The Dahlia is the only 5-star of the upcoming patch, there is a chance of her banner being available throughout the patch, similar to Cyrene’s. However, the developers have yet to confirm it; hence, there is a chance her banner will follow the usual pattern and expire when the second phase commences.

Before The Dahlia’s official showcase during the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream, not much information is available regarding the character. She is confirmed to be a Nihility unit wielding the Fire Element.

3) Memory of Chaos refresh

Besides a good story and events, Honkai Star Rail players always look forward to the endgame activity refreshes. In December 2025, Memory of Chaos is scheduled to receive one, allowing Trailblazers to challenge the stages once again. Completing these floors will bestow players with various rewards, the highlight being Stellar Jade.

Besides that, Trailblazers can get Jade Feathers by finishing challenges, which they can potentially use to get Self-Modeling Resin and more from the Jokes Come True section in the Priceless Jewel store.

4) Apocalyptic Shadow refresh

Another endgame activity that is set to refresh during December 2025 is Apocalyptic Shadow. While the mode features only four stages, each one progressively gets harder compared to MoC. However, the amount of Stellar Jade that Trailblazers can get from both activities is identical.

With the new set of challenges, the upcoming Apocalyptic Shadow in December 2025 will feature two new bosses.

5) Currency Wars changes

Although the Currency Wars gamemode recently debuted in version 3.7, it's expected to receive changes in Honkai Star Rail 3.8. A reliable leaker, Seele Leaks, detailed some of the rumored changes on their Telegram page, which was reposted on Reddit. According to the information, most of the equipment will likely receive changes.

Besides that, the gameplay mechanics will supposedly be tweaked a little to enhance players’ experience of Currency Wars.
