5 mistakes to avoid while playing Cyrene in Honkai Star Rail

Cyrene is a new character in Honkai Star Rail. She is a Remembrance character, which allows her to summon her memosprite, Demiurge. Cyrene's kit is underwhelming, as it is not what players were expecting. Since this 5-star unit is quite unique, players might end up making some mistakes when they build and use her in various activities.

This article lists five mistakes players shouldn't make while playing Cyrene in Honkai Star Rail.

Exploring the 5 mistakes you should be avoiding while playing Cyrene in Honkai Star Rail

1) Not having enough SPD to reach the breakpoint

Like all characters, Cyrene features several Major Trace abilities in Honkai Star Rail. One such is Causality in Trichotomy, which can grant all allies extra damage when this Remembrance unit possesses 180 SPD. If she has more, her memosprite's Ice RES REN will be enhanced. For that reason, you need to hit the breakpoint for the additional damage.

Since there are gear sets that can help her reach the 180 SPD breakpoint, you won't face any issues while building and playing Cyrene. While you can easily make this mistake, it can be avoided if you take a quick look at her Trace tree.

2) Farming wrong Relics and Planar Ornaments

One of the major mistakes you can make is farming the wrong Relics and Planar Ornament sets for Cyrene in Honkai Star Rail. As detailed in the abovementioend point (Not having enough SPD to reach breakpoints), you must farm gear sets with SPD buffs.

Relics and Ornaments such as Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal, Messenger Traversing Hackerspace, Sprightly Vonwacq, and Amphoreus, The Eternal Land, are Cyrene's best options. Usually, you spend Trailblaze Power, upgrade materials, and time for a perfect six-piece set. Hence, you'll end up wasting your resources by farming the wrong Relics and Planar Ornaments.

3) Not Pairing Chrysos Heirs with Cyrene

As most players already know, Cyrene works well with most Chrysos Heirs. Hence, it's better to pair them with her because she requires 24 Recollection points to trigger her memosprite. As the Chrysos Heirs (Castorice, Evernight, Hyacine) can grant her Ultimate stacks faster, it is essential to team them up.

While Cyrene can work with other characters, especially the ones following the Remembrance Path in Honkai Star Rail, she doesn't perform well.

4) Not knowing how Cyrene's buffs work

While Cyrene can enhance her allies' damage using her abilities, her Memosprite Skill features several buffs. The effect changes depending on which Chrysos Heir is on the receiving end. For example, if Cyrene grants Castorice, Ode to Life and Death, the latter can accumulate up to 200% Newbud charge and consume it all when summoning Netherwing for increased damage.

If you don't remember every buff effect, you can look at them by heading to Cyrene's Trace tab and clicking on "This Ode, to All Lives."

5) Prioritizing other stats over HP and SPD

Since Cyrene's abilities mostly scale with HP, you must prioritize this stat. Moreover, you need to hit the 180 SPD breakpoint as it is essential to trigger one of her Traces, Causality in Trichotomy. Hence, you should look for these stats when building Cyrene.

Additionally, Cyrene can deal a significant amount of damage as well. Hence, maintaining a good crit ratio is just as important as hitting the SPD breakpoint.
