With HoYoverse announcing the schedule of the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream, players are eagerly waiting for it. Since it's a filler patch before the Astral Express embarks on a new journey, the devs are introducing only one 5-star character, The Dahlia.

5 announcements that every Trailblazer should expect from the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream

1) The Dahlia character showcase

As per the official Honkai Star Rail 3.8 drip marketing campaign, The Dahlia is the sole 5-star character of the patch (Similar to Rappa and Cyrene). Hence, players can expect her character showcase to get featured during the special program. The hosts will detail what The Dahlia’s abilities can do while fighting. Additionally, her animations will be displayed during the character showcase.

Since The Dahlia’s ability animations are expected to be breathtaking, Trailblazers are hyped for the official showcase. Furthermore, this unit is expected to be paired with Firefly, as she is a Nihility character excelling in the Weakness Break/Super Break playstyle.

2) New events

One of the highlights of the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream is the new event announcements. Besides the Daily Training and endgame activities, players can obtain a significant amount of Stellar Jade from events. Hence, it's a no-brainer that most Trailblazers look forward to new ones.

If HoYoverse decides to follow their usual format, then players are expected to receive three major event announcements. Besides that, some recurring ones, Gift of Odyssey, Planar Fissure, and more will likely make a comeback.

3) Version 3.8 gacha banners

Among all, players are looking forward to the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 gacha banner announcements. As HoYoverse is introducing only one 5-star during the patch, Trailblazers are interested in who the rerun units will be. Since the update is expected to take place in Penacony, characters from the destination will likely be obtainable from the banners, such as Firefly, Robin, Sunday, and more.

While it is not confirmed but the developers might feature The Dahlia’s banner throughout the patch (similar to Cyrene’s gacha banner). This allows players to save up as many pulls as they can to get the character.

4) New explorable area

Another announcement players can expect from the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 livestream is a new explorable area. When the beta test for the upcoming patch started, a leak from reliable sources, Cyrene Leaks, and HomDGCat showcased what the new area will look like.

Like most maps, the new one is expected to feature numerous treasure chests. Since the area is from Penacony, players will likely encounter puzzles and mini-games unique to the destination, such as Dream Ticker and Dream Jigsaw puzzles.

5) Stellar Jade redeem codes

During the special program livestream, HoYoverse will announce three codes that will grant players 300x Stellar Jade upon redemption. As per the usual schedule, the devs will release these codes at certain intervals. However, they will be available for a short time. Hence, if players forget to claim/redeem them before they expire, the codes will be gone forever.

Besides Stellar Jade, Trailblazers can get various materials from the codes as well, such as Credits, Traveler’s Guide, and more.
