The KL Rahul-led side created an unwanted record as they lost to Temba Bavuma-led South Africa by four wickets in the second of the three-match ODI series in Raipur on Wednesday, December 3. The loss came despite the Men in Blue piling up 358/5 in their 50 overs after being asked to bat first. Ruturaj Gaikwad slammed his maiden ODI ton, hitting a quickfire 105 off 83 balls with the aid of two sixes and 12 boundaries. On the other hand, Virat Kohli continued his red-hot form, smashing consecutive centuries. The senior batter slammed his 53rd ODI ton, scoring 102 off 93 deliveries, including two maximums and seven fours.
