All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will be back in action in the ODI format when India take on South Africa in a three-match home series. The Men in Blue will play three ODIs against the Proteas, starting with the first match in Ranchi on Sunday, November 30. The second ODI will be played in Raipur on December 3, while the third match will be held in Visakhapatnam on December 6.
Jadeja was earlier rested for the three-match one-day series in Australia, with Axar Patel being picked over him. For the series against South Africa, Axar has been rested while Jadeja finds a place in the 15-member squad. The latter's performance in the ODI series against the Proteas will be crucial considering the competition for places ahead of the 2027 World Cup.
In this feature, we compare Jadeja's ODI stats with those of former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener. Since Klusener ended his one-day career with 171 matches, we compare his stats with those of Jadeja after the Indian cricketer had also played the same number of ODIs.
