Team India were also the inaugural champions of the T20 World Cup, and they have participated in every edition of the tournament that has happened so far.

The Indian team is popularly known as the Men in Blue because they wear blue jerseys while playing limited overs matches. In all the 10 editions of the T20 World Cup, blue has been the common dominant color in India's jerseys.

Since, BCCI recently unveiled India's new jersey for the upcoming 2026 T20 World Cup here's a ranking of each of India's T20 World Cup jerseys from worst to best.

#10 Team India's 2021 T20 World Cup jersey

Almost every Indian fan will agree that the dark blue kit worn by India in the 2021 T20 World Cup was among the worst cricket kits of all time. It was known as the 'Billion Cheers' kit.

This was the darkest shade of blue that India wore at the grand stage of the T20 World Cup. The crowd-inspired motifs made the jersey look dull. Overall, it did not look good on the players as well, and India had their worst T20 World Cup campaign ever, where they suffered defeats against Pakistan and New Zealand.

#9 Team India's 2010 T20 World Cup jersey

Another dark blue-themed jersey that India wore at the T20 World Cup was in West Indies in 2010. It had a touch of the Indian tricolor as well on the side.

It was a decent jersey, but the Indian team has worn much better designed jerseys in cricket history. The 2010 kit ranks ninth on this list for its ordinary look and finish.

The jerseys which India wore in the 2009 and 2010 T20 World Cup had a similar dark blue-dominant theme. The one used in 2009 had a better appearance because of the gradient-type orange plus white color touch.

India did not have a memorable campaign in both 2009 and 2010 T20 World Cups. They qualified for the Super 8s on both occasions but could not make it to the semifinals.

#7 India's 2024 T20 World Cup jersey

Although the Indian cricket fans have fond memories of the 2024 T20 World Cup jersey because India won the tournament, the jersey was average at best. This was the first time after 2010 that the orange color had such an evident presence on the team's jersey.

The front and back of the kit was blue, with a tricolor V-Shape color. On both sides, the shoulder and sleeve regions were fully orange, featuring three white stripes of the sponsor Adidas. It was a good design, but the color combination did not look perfect together.

India have made quite a few changes to their previous T20 World Cup jersey. This new kit has the vibe of a football kit, with light and dark blue shaded stripes giving it a classy look.

India is yet to wear this new kit in a match. Hence, it is tough to judge how the overall look of the jersey will be, but during the reveal in Raipur earlier this week, it appeared as one of Adidas' best designed jerseys for India.

Many cricket fans would remember that India was supposed to wear the tricolor flag themed jersey for the 2012 T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka. The jersey was launched at a grand event in the presence of Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, Virender Sehwag and other Indian stars.

However, just before the mega event, BCCI decided to switch back to the jersey worn by India in the 2011 World Cup for 'good luck' factor. The jersey was great, but it seemed more like an ODI kit, not like a T20I kit.

The 2022 T20 World Cup jersey will have a special place in the hearts of Virat Kohli's fans because he hit the 'Shot of the Century' against Pakistan while wearing that jersey in Melbourne.

On top of that, the blue shade used for this kit complemented the vibrant shoulder patterns. India made it to the finals of this mega event, where they lost against Sri Lanka.

The inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup happened in 2007, where India wore a light blue kit which was quite similar to their ODI kit. The designers added a tri color on each side of the shirt to give a classy touch to the overall look.

ICC had designed a fantastic logo for the 2007 T20 World Cup, which blended perfectly with India's jersey. Also, the 'INDIA' written at the centre in yellow looked perfect.

10 years ago, India hosted the T20 World Cup for the first time. The designers Nike prepared a fantastic jersey for the home team, retaining the blue base, but adding a unique reddish-orange curve on one side of the chest.

The 2016 T20 World Cup kit of India was probably the best of all time across all T20I teams. It is rare to see such a brilliantly designed kit in cricket tournaments these days.
