India lost the three-match ODI series 1-2. As the action shifts to the shorter format, they will be keen to bounce back. The team has been in top form, having won the Asia Cup 2025 recently. India are also the current World T20 champions, having won the 2024 T20 World Cup.

It will be a Test for the Indian batters against a top-quality bowling attack away from home. Meanwhile, Australia also have the firepower in their batting with the likes of skipper Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, Tim David, and Marcus Stoinis among others.
