Team India's left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav opened up on his DRS banter with Rohit Sharma during the third and final ODI of the three-match series against South Africa in Visakhapatnam. Kuldeep revealed that the former Indian skipper keeps pulling his leg, as he feels it's out every time the ball hits the pad.

Notably, in the 45th over of the innings bowled by Kuldeep, he pinned Lungi Ngidi lbw, and the umpire raised his finger. The pacer reviewed the on-field decision, but the call stayed. Rohit, KL Rahul and Kuldeep shared a laugh afterwards, in reference to the spinner's previous over when he tried to coax KL Rahul into a review, but Rohit turned it down.

Speaking to the host broadcaster during the innings break,Kuldeeo, who returned with figures of 10-1-41-4, said, as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo:

"In DRS, I'm someone who's very bad. He keeps pulling my leg. Whenever I'm bowling, if I try to hit the pad and succeed in that, I feel every ball is wicket. When you have a former captain and KL too, especially in DRS calls, as a bowler you feel like every not out is out. You need seniors like that to guide you."

The star spinner severely dented South Africa's progress in the 39th over of the innings when he dismissed Dewald Brevis (29) and Marco Jansen (17), denying them a shot at a formidable score.

Kuldeep went on to credit India's new-ball bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana for keeping things tight and backed the Men in Blue to chase down 271. He added:

"We started well, Arshdeep and Harshit, they kept tight lines in seven-eight overs. When spinners came, it was gripping a bit. Tried to mix the pace. Bowling with a dry ball is a luxury after the first two games. We lost 20 successive tosses, finally we won it. Very happy. I feel wicket is good to bat on. Because of the 34-over ball-change rule, if the ball is dry, it was holding in the pitch. It wasn't easy to score if there is turn. I tried variations too - legspin, googly, flipper."

India have won their last two ODI series against South Africa.
