WPL 2026 Retentions: Full list of players retained by franchises with price tags in INR ahead of WPL 2026 Auction

The five franchises for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) confirmed their retention list for the 2026 season on Thursday, November 6. Depending on their remaining salaries, the franchises can look forward to building their squads in the upcoming WPL 2026 auction, which is likely to be held later this month.

Defending champions and two-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) retained five players, including captain Harmanpreet Kaur and England all-rounder Natalie Sciver Brunt. On the other hand, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have retained skipper Smriti Mandhana and three more players. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals (DC) have retained Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma among big names, letting go of skipper Meg Lanning.

Gujarat Giants (GG) have retained just two players, Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney. UP Warriorz retained just one player, Shweta Sehrawat, releasing big names like all-rounder Deepti Sharma and Alyssa Healy.

Mandhana (RCB) and Brunt (MI) are the costliest retentions at ₹3.5 crore apiece.
