For the unversed, the twice World Cup-winner has been heard singing Bollywood songs on several occasions while batting at the crease.

In an old interview, Sehwag revealed that he would sing songs from several iconic Bollywood singers, including Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, to focus on his batting and leave negative thoughts at bay. He told IANS in 2016 (via India Today):

"To keep negative thoughts away, I used to sing a lot of songs while batting. Singing used to keep me from getting distracted. I used to sing the golden songs of Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, and Lata Mangeshkar."

"The aim of singing these songs was to keep negative thoughts away, which could have distracted me to lose my wicket. What song, whose song, and other things did not matter as long as they fulfilled the purpose," he added.

Virender Sehwag retired from international cricket in 2015. During his illustrious career, the hard-hitting opener scored 17,253 runs in 374 matches across formats with the help of 38 tons and 72 half-centuries. He won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup with the Men in Blue.

“Virat Kohli ne phir dikhaya run banana unke liye utna hi aasaan hai jitna hamare liye chai banana (Virat Kohli showed again that scoring runs for him is as easy as making tea for us). 52nd ODI century. Kohli is not chasing records; records are chasing Kohli. Aaj bhi bhook wahi, junoon wahi. King stays King!”
