Virat Kohli all smiles after landing at Mumbai airport ahead of IND vs SA 2025 ODIs [Watch]

Team India star Virat Kohli arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday, November 25, ahead of the side's upcoming three-match home ODI series against South Africa. The former captain greeted the paparazzi at the airport before getting into his black Range Rover SUV.

Kohli was dressed in a checkered flannel shirt and black trousers. He also donned a grey cap along with black sunglasses. A couple of fans approached him for selfies when he got into his car.

The 37-year-old obliged and got out of the vehicle to click pictures. The video of his arrival was posted on popular photojournalist Viral Bhayani's Instagram account.

Virat Kohli was last seen in action last month during India's three-match away ODI series against Australia. He registered back-to-back ducks in the first two fixtures, but bounced back and hit an unbeaten half-century in the final encounter.

The seasoned campaigner scored 74* off 81 balls as India ended the series with a nine-wicket win in Sydney. Australia claimed a 2-1 series victory over the visitors by winning the first two games.

Virat Kohli announced his T20I retirement after India's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. He later drew the curtains on his Test career in May this year.

However, Kohli's India U19 teammate Shreevats Goswami believes that he retired from the wrong format. He suggested that the veteran cricketer should have given up ODI cricket and continued playing Tests.

Goswami wrote on X:

"Ideally Virat should have left playing ODIs & continued playing test cricket untill he had nothing to give. Test cricket misses him. Not just as a player but just the energy he brought, the love & passion playing for India where he made the team believe that they can win in any condition."
