The Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchise UP Warriorz have retained uncapped Shweta Sehrawat ahead of the 2026 mega auction. The franchise announced their sole retention on Thursday, November 6, and will enter the auction with the maximum purse of ₹14.5 crore.In a significant development, UP Warriorz have released India star Deepti Sharma, who recently won the Player of the Tournament award in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, which Women in Blue clinched under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur.Deepti also led the franchise in the 2025 season in the absence of regular skipper Alyssa Healy, who was sidelined due to injury.
