Team India and Mumbai opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was reportedly rushed to the hospital due to acute gastroenteritis following the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26 match against Rajasthan in Pune on Tuesday, December 16. According to reports, the left-handed batter's stomach cramps intensified after the game and he was given IV medication, following which he was advised to rest.Jaiswal was out for 15 off 16 deliveries, as he hit three boundaries during Mumbai's steep chase of 217 at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium Association in Pune. Nevertheless, the youngster was admitted to the Aditya Birla Hospital and was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis after undergoing a CT Scan and an ultrasound. According to The Indian Express journalist Devendra Pandey, Jaiswal has been advised to rest.Pandey wrote on X:"Yashasvi Jaiswal was suffering from stomach cramps which intensified post the game. He was rushed to Aditya Birla hospital where he was diagnosed with Acute gastroenteritis. He was given Iv medication and diagnosed with ultrasound and CT scan. He is advised to follow medications and rest."Despite Jaiswal getting out only for 15, Mumbai were able to hunt down the target of 217 with three wickets and more than an over to spare.
