The schedule for T20 World Cup 2026 was announced by the ICC on Tuesday, November 25. The 20-team tournament will be held from February 7 to March 8 and will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo is among the eight venues (five from India and three from Sri Lanka) that have been finalized for the T20 World Cup.
The SSC ground in Colombo will host five matches in T20 World Cup matches. The first game to be played at the venue will be the opening clash between Netherlands and Pakistan in Group A on February 7. Oman will then face Zimbabwe in a Group B match on February 9.
Pakistan and United States of America will clash on February 10, while Ireland and Oman will meet in a Group B clash on February 14. The last match of T20 World Cup 2026 to be played at the SSC will be between a Group A match between Namibia and Pakistan on February 18.

February 14: Match 22, Ireland vs Oman, Group B (11: 00 AM)

T20 World Cup 2026 Groups
The 20 teams taking part in T20 World Cup 2026 have been divided into four groups of five each. The groups are as follows.
Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Namibia, Netherlands
Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal
Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE
The top two sides following the conclusion of the group stage will progress to the Super Eights from where the top four sides will qualify for the knockouts. The first semifinal will be played on March 4 in Kolkata/ Colombo (Premadasa), while the second semifinal will be held in Mumbai on March 5. The grand final will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad/ Colombo (Premadasa).
