Team India captain Shubman Gill and other stars arrived in Guwahati on Wednesday, November 19, ahead of the second Test against South Africa. The second Test is set to begin on Saturday, November 22. India lost the opening Test of the two-match series by 30 runs in Kolkata.Shubman Gill was seen getting off the elevator at the airport in India's new travel kit with security personnel beside him. He could be seen wearing black sunglasses and a golden watch on his wrist.Apart from Gill, Team India stars Sai Sudharsan, Akash Deep, KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar, Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ravindra Jadeja were also seen getting off the elevator, surrounded by security forces.Moreover, the support staff, including head coach Gautam Gambhir, were also seen with the players. The batter was taken to the hospital after being carried off the field on a stretcher during India's first innings. He retired hurt on four runs off three balls.The 26-year-old took no further part in the Test, which also hurt the hosts as they were a batter short in a tricky 124-run chase in the second innings. While it was anticipated that Shubman Gill would be ruled out of the second Test, the BCCI confirmed that he would travel to Guwahati with the squad as he was responding well to treatment.Although he was cleared to travel with the team and did so as well, there was no confirmation from the board whether he would participate in the second Test."Shubman has been responding well to the medical treatment provided and will travel to Guwahati with the team on 19th November, 2025. He will continue to be monitored by the BCCI medical team and a decision on his participation in the 2nd Test will be taken accordingly," a BCCI statement read.
