14-year-old Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored a blistering 32-ball century for India A against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 on Friday, November 14, just ahead of the IPL 2026 retention deadline on November 15. The match is being played at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

India A skipper Jitesh Sharma won the toss and elected to bat. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi went on the attack from the very first ball, reaching his fifty in just 17 deliveries. The southpaw continued his onslaught and brought up his century off only 32 balls with a boundary, surpassing his previous best of 35 balls, which he had achieved in IPL 2025 for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans.

Sooryavanshi did not slow down after reaching his hundred, smashing Harshit Kaushik for four consecutive sixes and a boundary in the 11th over. He eventually finished with a sensational 144 off 42 balls, including 11 fours and 15 sixes.

Opting to bat first in their Rising Stars Asia Cup match against UAE, India A got off to a shaky start, losing Priyansh Arya for 10 off six balls in the second over. Naman Dhir came in at No. 3 and, alongside Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, built a stunning 163-run partnership off just 57 balls.

Naman contributed 34 from 23 deliveries, hitting three fours and two sixes, while Sooryavanshi went on to score a century, eventually finishing with a sensational 144.

Skipper Jitesh Sharma then took charge, racing to a brilliant fifty off just 24 balls. The wicketkeeper-batter remained unbeaten on 83 off 32 balls, smashing eight fours and six sixes as India A finished their 20 overs with a mammoth total of 297/4. In response, at the time of writing, UAE were 16/0 after two overs, needing 282 to win to start their Rising Stars Asia Cup campaign on a winning note.
