RR Retention List IPL 2026: Full list of players retained by Rajasthan Royals, Price tags in INR, and Purse remaining

Rajasthan Royals (RR) have named their list of retained and released players on the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) retention deadline day. The inaugural champions are headed towards a major revamp after recently parting ways with skipper Sanju Samson, and acquiring the all-rounder pair of Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

RR had no other option but to change their course after finishing ninth in the 2025 IPL season. The franchise brought back Kumar Sangakkara at the helm as Rahul Dravid left his role as head coach after just one season.

RR have released the overseas spin twins Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana, with the pair holding INR 9.65 crore. Apart from them, the franchise had already parted ways with Sanju Samson and Nitish Rana through trade deals.

Meanwhile, they hold onto Shimron Hetmyer for INR 11 crore, while the Indian young batting core of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Riyan Parag remains intact.

England speedster Jofra Archer is also retained by the franchise despite concerns surrounding his workload and injury concerns. Fellow left-arm overseas pacers from South Africa Kwena Maphaka and Nandre Burger have been retained, but the left-arm seamer from Afghanistan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, is released and back in the auction pool.
