India captain Rishabh Pant was dismissed cheaply while attempting a big shot against South African seamer Marco Jansen on Day 3 (Monday, November 24) of the second Test in the two-match series. The match is being played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
The wicket fell on the second delivery of the 38th over of India’s first innings. Jansen bowled a length delivery, and Pant advanced down the pitch for a big slog but only managed a faint edge to the keeper. The umpire raised his finger, and Pant opted for a review, but the Snickometer confirmed the ball had taken the edge, resulting in a wasted review for the India captain.
