Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav's torrid run with the bat continued as he was dismissed for yet another low score in the fourth T20I against Australia at the Gold Coast in Queensland. Tim David took an outstanding catch in the deep as the hosts got a key breakthrough at a vital stage of the innings.

The dismissal of the visiting captain, who scored 20 off 10, came in the 16th over, bowled by Xavier Bartlett. The right-handed batter went deep in his crease on the first delivery and sent the ball high towards the leg side.

David covered significant ground, running in from deep backward square leg, and held on to the chance. The Singapore-born cricketer then jokingly made the gesture of licking the ball as he barely held on to the catch.

The 35-year-old Indian batter hasn't scored a half-century in T20Is since October 2024, when he scored one against Bangladesh. He looked outstanding for his unbeaten 39 during the rain-hit first T20I against Australia at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. Since then, he has registered scores of 1, 24 and 20.

Suryakumar's highest score in the Asia Cup 2025 was 47 not out.

Meanwhile, India finished their innings at 167/8 in 20 overs in the fourth T20I. Shubman Gill top-scored with 46 off 39 deliveries and put the Men in Blue on track for a bigger score, but the rest of the batters couldn't cash in on the platform.

The Indian team were 121/2 in the 15th over of the innings before Nathan Ellis dismissed Gill for 46. The team kept losing wickets consistently, setting Australia a target of 168 in the end.

The highest partnership of their innings was of 56 runs between openers Gill and Abhishek Sharma. Ellis and Adam Zampa picked up three wickets each, while Xavier Bartlett and Marcus Stoinis snared one each.

Axar Patel's cameo of 21 off 11 was valuable, including striking a four and a six in the 20th over bowled by Stoinis.
