Team India pacer Prasidh Krishna picked up four wickets in the third ODI against South Africa at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, December 6. To get to his third, the right-arm pacer uprooted Quinton de Kock's (106) stumps to give the Men in Blue a key breakthrough.
The dismissal came in the 33rd over of the innings as Krishna went fast and full, clocking in 141 kph. De Kock, who had got to his seventh hundred against India a few overs before, went for a cross-batted whip and the ball went between his bat and pads to leave the stumps in a disarray. De Kock's dismissal left South Africa at 199-5

Prasidh Krishna claims four wickets as Team India restrict South Africa to 270 in Visakhapatnam

After winning the toss for the first time in 21 ODI games, KL Rahul sent the Temba Bavuma-led South Africa into bat. Although De Kock peeled off a hundred, and the likes of Bavuma (48), Matthew Breetzke (24) and Dewald Brevis (29) got off to promising starts, the Proteas lost wickets in clusters to settle for a score of 270.
Kuldeep Yadav emerged as the pick of the bowlers with outstanding figures of 10-1-41-4, while Krishna also finished with four wickets from his 9.5 overs, conceding 66 runs. With dew likely to set in, the home side should find chasing the total of 271 relatively easy to claim the series.
Virat Kohli will be in focus, given he scored hundreds in the first two games of the series.
