Prasidh Krishna knocked over Ottneil Baartman to wrap up South Africa in the third and final ODI in Vizag on Saturday, December 6. The speedster flattened the stumps as Baartman perished for just three runs as the tourists were bowled out for 270 in 47.5 overs.

The dismissal came as Prasidh bowled a fuller-length ball that tailed in after pitching. Baartman was caught in the crease, and the ball beat the inside edge to uproot the off-stump. With the wicket, Krishna bounced back in the series, finishing with figures of 4/66 in his 9.5 overs. Overall, the speedster finished with seven wickets in the three-match series, including 1/48 (7.2 overs), and 2/85 (8.2) in the first two ODIs.

Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav bag 4-fers as South Africa undergo a middle-order collapse in the 3rd ODI

A clinical bowling display from Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav helped India bundle out South Africa by inflicting a middle-order collapse in the third ODI. Notably, the tourists lost their last eight wickets for 102 runs despite being 168-2 at one stage. Yadav, in particular, finished with economical figures of 4/41, including a maiden. Arshdeep Singh and Ravindra Jadeja also chipped in with one scalp apiece.

Quinton de Kock starred with the bat for the Proteas, top-scoring with 106 runs off 89 balls, hitting six maximums and eight boundaries. Skipper Temba Bavuma also chipped in with 48 (67). The duo shared a 113-run partnership for the second wicket after Riyan Rickelton departed for a duck. Meanwhile, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, and Keshav Maharaj chipped in with 24 (23), run-a-ball 29, and 20* (29), respectively.

The KL Rahul-led side is now the favorite to chase down 271, with dew set to play a role later in the match. The series is currently tied at 1-1. India won the opening match by 17 runs before South Africa chased down the joint-highest total (359) against the Men in Blue in the second ODI, winning the game by four wickets.

All eyes will be on Yashasvi Jaiswal, who failed to make the most of his opportunities in the first games, perishing for 18 and 22, respectively. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will be keen to complete a hat-trick of centuries, having smashed 135 and 102 in the first two matches.
