Narendra Modi Stadium Schedule T20 World Cup 2026: Complete match list, dates, venues and timings in IST

The schedule for T20 World Cup 2026 was revealed on November 25. The ICC event featuring 20 teams will be played from February 7 to March 8, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting the tournament. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has been chosen as one of the eight venues to host T20 World Cup 2026 matches Ahmedabad will host the final if Pakistan don't qualify for the summit clash.

The first match of T20 World Cup 2026 to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be a Group D clash between South Africa and Canada on February 9. The Proteas will then face Afghanistan on February 11. Next, New Zealand will take on South Africa in another Group D match on February 14.

Team India will take on Netherlands in a Group A match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 18. The venue will also host two Super 8 Group 1 matches - X1 vs X4 on February 22 and X3 vs X4 on February 26.

T20 World Cup 2026 format

The 20 teams taking part in the T20 World Cup have been divided into four groups of five each. After 40 group matches to be played between February 7-20, the top two sides from each group will progress to the Super Eights, which starts on February 21. The top four sides following the completion of the Super Eights will qualify for the knockouts.

The first semifinal of T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in Kolkata/ Colombo on March 4, while the second semifinal will be held in Mumbai on March 5. The grand final will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad/Colombo.
