Chennai Super Kings (CSK) retweeted West Indies star Akeal Hosein's 12-year-old tweet on Ravindra Jadeja after securing his services in the IPL 2026 auction on Tuesday, December 16. Hosein had posted about aspiring to be a player like Jadeja back in 2013.The 32-year-old left-arm spinner entered the IPL 2026 auction and bagged his maiden contract at his base price of ₹2 crore from the Super Kings. Hosein has a promising T20 record, with 237 wickets in 253 games at 25.02 with a fifer and five four-wicket hauls. The southpaw remains a regular fixture in West Indies' T20I side and often bowls in the powerplay.On October 16, 2013, Hosein took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote:"One day... I'd like to become a player like him."CSK retweeted it and wrote:"Let's make it happen."Jadeja, who represented the Super Kings from 2012 to 2015 and 2018 to 2025, won three IPL titles with them. The Saurashtra all-rounder was traded to the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2026 for a price of ₹14 crore.
