KL Rahul looks irritated as he and Athiya Shetty get mobbed amid IND vs SA 2025 series [Watch]

Team India star KL Rahul appeared irritated as he and his wife, Athiya Shetty, were mobbed amid the home series against South Africa. The star batter was exiting from a restaurant with Athiya after dinner.

As the two stepped out, fans surrounded them for pictures. While KL Rahul denied and said that it was late, they did not listen to him and tried to get closer and surround him.

A security personnel with KL Rahul had to literally push the fans away as they kept getting closer. Moreover, as Athiya got out, the fans even turned towards her and attempted to surround her, asking for pictures.

After repeatedly denying, Rahul was visibly frustrated and annoyed with the behavior of the fans. He can be seen in a plain black t-shirt, while Athiya was seen in a casual black shirt and jeans. The star batter even looked concerned as the people moved towards Athiya.

KL Rahul led India to victory in the ODI series

KL Rahul captained India in the three-match ODI series against South Africa in the absence of Shubman Gill. Under his leadership, the Men in Blue went on to win the series 2-1.

They won the first game in Ranchi by 17 runs. India posted a huge total of 349/8 batting first. Rahul struck a crucial 56-ball 60 at number five. They bowled South Africa out for 332 to win the game. However, the Proteas bounced back in the second ODI.

India batted first again and made 358/5. Once again, Rahul played a brilliant knock, slamming a quickfire unbeaten 66 off just 43 balls. His efforts were in vain as India failed to defend the total. The Proteas won by four wickets.

In the final ODI, which was the decider, India bowled first and skittled the opposition out for 270. It turned out to be a one-sided affair as they chased the target down in 39.5 overs with nine wickets to spare.
