Harmanpreet Kaur-led India will face off against Laura Woolvardt's South Africa in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 final at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 2. The Women in Blue beat defending champions Australia by five wickets, scripting history during their marathon run chase in the semifinal. Meanwhile, South Africa beat four-time champions England by 125 runs in the other semifinal.

With final tickets as low as ₹100, the fans were keen to watch the ICC event live from the stadium. However, a section of users on X complained about not being able to purchase a ticket from the official website shared by the tournament organizers. Some of them took to the micro-blogging site to share their frustration about the same. One user wrote:

"What a foolishness, the final is on 2nd Nov and tickets are not open in Book My Show, it is showing coming soon. Afterwards, they show tickets are full or prizes are high, what a corruption. Stupidity.

Another user commented:

"Yesterday, the tickets for the Women’s World Cup final at DY Patil Stadium were being sold at a cost of ₹150-₹500. Now look at this, what a shameless exploitation. Don’t call it a demand; it is daylight robbery."

A third user added:

"See the hypocrisy of @bookmyshow. Why final tickets events has been closed?? It was showing "coming soon" 2 min before."

India aim to end trophy drought in the third ICC Women's World Cup final

Team India would be keen to end their ICC trophy drought in their third ODI World Cup final. They have previously lost to eventual champions Australia and England in 2005 and 2017respectively. By defeating the seven-time winners Australia in the semifinal, the Women in Blue have removed their biggest roadblock.

Like India, South Africa will also be gunning to win their maiden trophy in the 50-over tournament. In their last meeting, SA beat India by three wickets earlier in the tournament. Unlike India, the Proteas Women haven't played an ODI World Cup final. All eyes will be on Laura Woolvardt and Jemimah Rodrigues following their centuries in the knockout matches.
