A new world champion is set to be crowned as South Africa and India are locking horns in the Women's World Cup 2025 final at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. The Laura Wolvaardt-led South Africa made it to the summit clash with a dominant 125-run win over England in the semifinal.

Wolvaardt dazzled the viewers with a splendid 169-run knock, helping her side post a formidable total of 319 runs. In response, England were bundled out for 194. Marizanne Kapp was the pick of the bowlers, bagging a stunning five-wicket haul.

India, on the other hand, secured a thrilling five-wicket win over Australia in the second semifinal. The Women in Blue had a challenging 339-run target in front of them.

Jemimah Rodrigues shone with the bat in the chase, remaining unbeaten on 127 off 134 balls. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also played an excellent 89-run knock. The Women in Blue scripted history, registering the highest-ever chase in women's ODI history.

South Africa beat India by seven wickets when the two sides squared off in the group stage. Harmanpreet and Co. were bowled out for 251 after being asked to bat first.

Richa Ghosh was the top performer with the bat, contributing 94 runs from 77 deliveries. Nadine de Klerk (84* off 54 balls) and Wolvaardt's (70 runs off 111 balls) batting exploits led South Africa to chase the total in 48.5 overs.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. Speaking at the toss, Laura Wolvaardt said:

"We are going to have a bowl first today. Bit of rain around, and nice chasing around with a bit of dew."
