India vs South Africa 2025, 2nd ODI: Toss result and playing 11s for today’s match, umpires list and pitch report

India are taking on South Africa at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur in the second ODI of the three-match series. The Men in Blue are 1-0 up in the series and a win in Raipur will give them an unassailable lead.

The hosts excelled with the bat in the first one-dayer in Ranchi. Sent into bat, they posted 349-8. Virat Kohli top-scored with 135 off 120 balls, hitting 11 fours and seven sixes. Rohit Sharma (57), KL Rahul (60) and Ravindra Jadeja (32) also chipped in with useful contributions.

In the chase, South Africa recovered from a disastrous start of 11-3 to give India a tough fight. However, Kuldeep Yadav claimed four wickets and Harshit Rana three help the hosts get home. The manner in which the Proteas lower order took on India's bowlers, though, should concern the hosts.

South Africa have won the toss and have opted to bat first. Temba Bavuma said:

“Very hard to say [how the pitch will behave]. Looks a little bit on the drier side. We are hoping the dew comes in. It becomes easy to bat on in the second innings.”
