India vs Australia 2025, 1st T20I: Toss result and playing 11s for today’s match, umpires list and pitch report

Team India are facing Australia at the Manuka Oval in Canberra in the first T20I of the five-match series. The Men in Blue lost the three-match ODI series 2-1, but will be confident of putting up a much-better show in the T20Is. India have an impressive record against Australia in Australia, having won seven games and lost four, while one match ended in no result.

India won the Asia Cup in the UAE in their previous T20I assignment. Young opener Abhishek Sharma had a terrific campaign and ended up winning the Player of the Tournament award for clobbering 314 runs at a strike rate of exactly 200. There is plenty of excitement around what he can deliver in Australia.

On the other hand, there will be some pressure on skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who has had an extended poor run with the bat.
