Team India all-rounder Shivam Dube revealed what he carried in his kit bag. He is currently playing the T20I series against Australia Down Under. Dube has been an integral part of the team in the shorter format.
In a segment on former Indian batter Aakash Chopra's YouTube channel, the all-rounder discussed the components in his kit bag. Dube revealed that he carried five to six bats, seven to eight pairs of gloves, different shoes for batting and bowling, and a cap, among other things. When asked, he stated that he did not like hats and hence never carried them.
"Bat. The weight is 1170. Between 1170 and 60. Normal handle. Only one grip. I have 5-6 bats in the kit. Gloves, 7-8 pairs of gloves. My gloves get spoiled quickly, so I have to keep changing. Helmet, thigh pad. Chest guard. I don't wear it in the match but only during practice. Different shoes for batting, and different for bowling. The bowling shoes are a bit heavy. Sunscreen is in my bag, not the kit. Then the English tape. I keep a cap, but I do not like hats at all. No hats," he said.
Dube put up a vital all-round performance in the fourth T20I, which India won by 48 runs. He scored a crucial 18-ball with a four and a six as they posted a total of 167/8 batting first. The visitors bowled Australia out for 119. Dube returned figures of 2/20 from two overs with the ball. He accounted for the big wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Tim David.
