The much-awaited player list for the IPL 2026 auction was released on Tuesday, December 9. Exactly 350 players will go under the hammer in Abu Dhabi on December 16 as the 10 IPL franchises look to strengthen their squads ahead of the upcoming season.
Earlier, as many as 1,390 players had registered for the IPL 2026 auction, but the final list was cut down to 350 cricketers. Of the shortlisted players who will go under the hammer, 240 are Indians and 110 overseas players. The final list includes 224 uncapped Indian players and 16 capped Indian cricketers.
A maximum of 77 slots can be filled up at the mini-auction in Abu Dhabi by the 10 franchises combined. Of these spots, 31 have been reserved for overseas cricketers. Yet again, ₹2 crore is the highest reserve price for the auction, while ₹30 lakh is the lowest.

Who are the uncapped overseas players in IPL 2026 auction?
Every year, the IPL provides uncapped players from India as well as overseas to showcase their talent in the grand T20 league. This year as well a few overseas players have registered their name in the uncapped category.
The list of uncapped overseas players includes Australian all-rounders Jack Edwards and Nikhil Chaudhary and England's Joe Clarke and Tom Moores. Afghanistan's Wahidullah Zadran and South Africa's Connor Esterhuizen are among the other uncapped overseas players who have been shortlisted for the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi.

Chaudhary (29) represents Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL). He has played 20 matches in the tournament and has claimed nine wickets at an average of 34 and an economy rate of 7.65 with his leg spin. With the bat, he has scored 386 runs at an average of 24.12 and a strike rate of 134.02. Overall, Chaudhary has played 36 matches in his T20 career.
Australian all-rounder Edwards has the 63 T20 games. The 25-year-old has picked up 33 wickets with his medium pace at an average of 26.18 and has scored 715 runs, with a best of 47. As for England's Clarke and Moores, they have the experience of 244 and 169 T20Is respectively.
