The final player list for the much-awaited IPL 2026 auction is out. While a total of 1,390 players had registered for the mini-auction, the final list has been pruned down to 350. The shortlisted players will now go under the hammer in Abu Dhabi on December 16 as the 10 franchises will build their squad for the next edition.
Of the 350 players shortlisted for the IPL 2026 auction, 240 are Indian players, while 110 overseas players. The list features 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas names. Also, there are 16 capped Indian cricketers and 96 capped overseas cricketers in the player pool for the auction.
The 10 franchises will compete to fill up a maximum of 77 slots at the mini-auction, with 31 of the spots being reserved for overseas players. There are a total of eight price brackets for the auction - ₹30 lakh being the lowest and ₹2 crore the highest.

Who are the capped Indian players for IPL 2026 auction?
As mentioned earlier, the IPL auction list features 16 capped Indian players. Batting all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, who was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping ₹23.75 crore at the IPL 2025 auction, is the most prominent name on the list. He has registered a base price of ₹2 crore for the 2026 auction. Leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi has also placed his name in the ₹2 crore bracket.
Among others, pacer Akash Deep and leggie Rahul Chahar have listed a reserve price of ₹1 crore each, while veteran fast bowler Umesh Yadav features in the ₹1.5 crore category. Sarfaraz Khan, Prithvi Shaw, Mayank Agarwal and Deepak Hooda, among others, have registered a base price of ₹75 lakh.
