The final player list for the IPL 2026 auction to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16 was released earlier this week. Exactly 350 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer in the mini-auction.
As many as 1,390 players had signed up for the IPL 2026 auction, but the final list was trimmed down to 350. Of the players shortlisted for the auction, 240 are Indian cricketers, while 110 are overseas players. As many as 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas cricketers are part of the auction. Also, the pool includes 16 capped Indian players and 96 capped overseas players.
At the mini-auction in Abu Dhabi, the 10 franchises will battle it out to fill up a maximum of 77 slots, with 31 of them being for overseas players. Cricketers have registered their names in eight price brackets - ₹30 lakh being the lowest and ₹2 crore being the highest.

A total of seven Bangladesh players have registered for the IPL 2026 auction, with only one putting his name in the highest base price category of ₹2 crore - Mustafizur Rahman. The seasoned left-arm pacer joined Delhi Capitals (DC) as a replacement for Jake Fraser-McGurk as the Aussie quit the T20 league due to personal reasons after playing six IPL 2025 matches.
Left-arm pacer Mustafizur played three matches for DC last season, claiming four wickets at an average of 21.75 and an economy rate of 7.90. However, even if DC wanted to retain him for the 2026 season, they couldn't have done so as per IPL rules in place for temporary replacements. Mustafizur has the experience of 60 IPL games in which he has claimed 65 wickets at an economy rate of 8.13.
Looking at the other Bangladesh players shortlisted for the auction, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed have listed a base price of ₹75 lakh. Also, Rakibul Hasan is part of the ₹30 lakh bracket.
